A pretty girl is like a melody
The Heatherette show was downtown New York spectacle at it’s best and the looks in the crowd were better than almost anything we’d seen on the runways all week. Heatherette brings everyone together, whether they’re from the club scene, the music industry, (Richie is recording artist, after all), the fashion world or the wild, wild west (Traver hails from Montana and has bred horses in his time). The front row was a masterpiece with the likes of Ashanti, Sopranos kids, Queer Eye guys, Anne Slater, the Scissor Sisters and Debbie Harry, all rubbing elbows with fashion editors.

The clothes have gotten better and better each season and this one really felt like a complete collection with some really cute individual pieces — when you strip away the outrageously fabulous styling by Patti Wilson, makeup by Kabuki and hair by Laurent Philippon. We’re shocked to admit this, but we can really see some of the sweaters, tops and skinny jeans in the hip juniors floor of a department store near you. The celeb models this season were Lydia Hearst, Tinsley Mortimer (a natural in the spotlight, if ever we saw one) and Naomi Campbell closing the show. Bravo!!!!
